Florida Laws and Rules for LCSW, LMFT and LMHC License Renewal
Description: This is the required 3 CE Florida laws and rules course for Florida Licensed Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Mental Health Counselors who are renewing their licenses. This 3-hour class presents the required laws and rules to aid professional counselors in avoiding practice problems, adherence to licensure requirements and protection of clients’ welfare. The laws and rules for mental health practice legislation and relevant administrative code include F.S. 456, F.S. 491, and F.A.C. 64B4. This course is required every third biennium. Current licensees would need to complete the course by the biennium ending 3/31/19. Licensees in their first biennium, (which are exempt from CE’s for renewal) would need to meet the requirement by the biennium ending 3/31/21.
