Perhaps the most difficult problem of child populations conduct disorder is a prevalent and perplexing condition. Pracitioners learn how to observe, assess and plan intervention.
Description:
Conduct Disorder is the most common disorder and the most severe disorder of childhood. This disorder and its milder cohort, Oppositional Defiant Disorder is described in this class. Included are the DSM criteria including proposed changes for DSM V, information about incidence and prevalence, best practice strategies for intervention and treatment.
Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to identify and discuss diagnostic criteria.
2. Participants will be able to differentiate between Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Conduct Disorder.
3. Participants will be able to discuss co-morbid conditions and the effect on ODD/CD.
4. Participants will be able to describe treatments recommended for ODD/CD.

Training Agenda:
Hour One: Descriptions of ODD/CD.
Hour Two: Diagnostic criteria, incidence and prevalence.
Hour Three: Co-morbid conditions, Treatment.
